Monday, Apr 7

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Toddler Time: 10-11am. Join us for stories, rhymes, songs, and other activities. This story time is designed for Toddlers, but all are welcome!

    • Tails and Tales - Read to Pickles the Therapy Dog: 4-5pm, Galena Branch. Come read to therapy dog, Pickles! She is a 5 year old lab who loves to show off tricks, get lots of pets, and have stories read to her! This program is intended to help reluctant readers read. Anyone can come read to her. Registration is required.

    • Sensory Friendly Storytime: 4-4:45pm. Sensory Friendly Storytime is a special storytime for children who may have felt left out or nervous to go to other storytimes.

  • Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch

    • Library Kids Create Blackout Poetry: 4-5pm. Library kids in grades K-5 are invited to join Ms. Monica as we create our own blackout or found poetry in celebration of National Poetry Month!! Kids in grades 3-5 are welcome to attend independently, but their adults must remain in the library.

  • Form Not Function, Quilt Art Biennial: 10am-7pm, The Cultural Arts Center (201 E. Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150). The Cultural Arts Center is pleased to present the returning Form, Not Function: Quilt Art Biennial exhibition, featuring 20 quilts selected by guest jurors Michelle Amos, Terry Jarrard-Dimond, and Kevin Womack. This exhibition will be on display from January 16th, 2025 through April 12th, 2025. Admission is free for all ages. 

  • Safari Eggventure 2025: 10am-2pm, Louisville Zoo. EGGsplore your Zoo again this spring with an EGGcelent scavenger hunt game. Free with membership or zoo admission.

Tuesday, Apr 8

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Babies and Books: 10am-10:30am. Join us on Tuesday mornings as we sing, read board books, and have fun learning early literacy! Registration not required.

    • Vintage Cafe: 10-11am. Vintage Cafe is a monthly program for adults where we explore different hobbies and activities while socializing and have a fun time.  This month we'll be taking a field trip to The Floyd County Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center, a branch of the library located at 201 E Spring St, New Albany, IN. Registration is required.

    • It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all. Registration not required.

    • 4H eSports: 4:30-5:30pm. Level up your gaming and learning with the Floyd County 4-H eSports Program! Hosted at the Floyd County Public Library Auditorium, this program combines education and fun. Did you know that 71% of teens play video games, and eSports helps turn that passion into skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking? Join us to game, grow, and connect! This is for grades 7th-12th. Registration is required.

    • Embroidery 101: 5:30-6:30pm. Galena Branch. Join us at the Galena Branch to learn the basics of the embroidery machine and how to monogram your projects! Registration is required.

    • Pajama Time Stories: 6pm-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. Registration not required.

  • Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch

    • Basic Sewing: 10am-12pm. So you want to learn to sew! A great opportunity awaits at your Library. Whether or not you've operated a sewing machine, or if you've attempted simple sewing projects and weren't satisfied with the results, you're invited to attend our class to learn basic sewing skills.

    • Community Leader Storytime: 10:30-11:15am. So many things to celebrate! Leaders from our community are going to read with us for National Library Week. They will read a poem (or two) to showcase National Poetry Month. Then they will share in the fun of our usual storytime fingerplays, bouncies, and games. While this program welcomes families with children from ages 0-5, the pace and activities will be geared towards the abilities of our younger attendees so all can participate. 

    • Let’s Talk Books: 1-2pm (Adults).

    • Anime Club: 4-5pm. Teens. & Tweens This club is all about Anime. Join us for games, projects, movies and more. Long-time members and new fans are welcome. Meet in the Youth Program room! This week we will be painting mini 3D printed figures. Be prepared to be messy! 

  • ½ Priced Bottle Tuesdays: 3-10pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Every Tuesday ½ priced bottles of wine in house. Bring a friend (or two!) and come enjoy the Wine Shop.

  • Pizza & Chill at Wine Shop: 5-9pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Unwind with us every Tuesday from 5:00pm-9:00pm for our Pizza & Chill Special! Enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious flatbread pizza for just $20 . Plus, take advantage of our 1/2 off bottles of wine in-house to keep the good vibes flowing.

  • Kids Eat Free Tuesday: 4-10pm, RecBar 812 (New Albany). Every Tuesday, for every adult meal purchased, one child under the age of 12 can order a meal from the kid’s menu for free.

Wednesday, Apr 9

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Wiggle Wednesday Storytime: 10-10:45am. Join us at Galena on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. to wiggle our wiggles out, read stories and sing songs! Registration not required.

    • Stories at Silver Street Park: 10-11am. Join us for stories, crafts, and fun the second Wednesday of every month from 10-11am at Silver Street Park in New Albany. 

    • Kid's Club - Yoga with YMCA: 4:30-5:30pm. This week at Kid's Club get your body moving! Learn about yoga basics, terminology, and postures. Practice yoga in a safe and supportive environment with guidance from a registered yoga teacher from the YMCA. Yoga mats will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. For ages 6-11. Registration is required.

    • Make & Take - Decoupage Easter Eggs: 6-7pm. Join us for a creative evening of crafting and socializing for adults.  This month we will be creating colorful decoupage Easter eggs.  All supplies provided free, no special skills needed.  Registration is required.

  • Recbar 812 Bingo: 7pm, RecBar 812 (New Albany). Free to play. Free to win! Come join us every Wednesday for Bar Bingo. Prizes for every round. One final coverall round every week for a rolling $50 jackpot. If no one wins, the $50 moves on to the next week! $2 off all adult slushies! This is a 21+ event to participate.

  • Last Call Trivia: 7pm, Dog Haus Biergarten New Albany. Join us every Wednesday for Last Call Trivia! Games start at 7pm. First Place gets a $30 Dog Haus Gift Card, Second Place gets a $20 Dog Haus Gift Card, and Third Place takes home a $10 Dog Haus Gift Card.

Thursday, Apr 10

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Music and Movement: 10-10:45am. Join us at Galena on Thursdays to help your child learn some basic rhythms that will help with early literacy before they begin Kindergarten. Ms. Ashley will use bells, rhythm sticks, scarves and more for these exercises! Registration not required.

    • Coffee & Conversations: 10-11am. Join us in the Cafe on the Upper Level of the New Albany Central Branch for a free cup of coffee and interesting conversations with community members from all walks of life. No registration required. 

    • Make & Take - Decoupage Easter Eggs: 1-2pm. Join us for a creative evening of crafting and socializing for adults.  This month we will be creating colorful decoupage Easter eggs.  All supplies provided free, no special skills needed.  Registration is required.

    • 2025 NAFCS Elementary Spring Art Show: 5-7pm.

    • Teen Scene: 6-7:30pm. Hang out with us every Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Teen Scene! Take a break in the middle of the week with a new activity, game, craft, or anything else we dream up, plus snacks! All teens are welcome (11-18 years old). Registration not required.

  • Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch

    • Alternative Ways to Grow Your Open Pollinated Plants: 6-7pm, Clarksville Branch. Our local Seed Savors will review different ways that flowers, vegetables, or herbs may be grown in a manner that doesn't require large ground spaces. They will discuss raised beds, container gardening, straw bale design, and vertical gardening.

    • Family History Club: 6-7pm. Family history researchers of all levels are cordially invited to join our family history club. Do you want to learn how to start researching your family?

  • Library Events - Harrison County

    • Library Little Ones: 10:30am, Corydon.

  • LOVB Quarterfinals: 4:30pm. KFC Yum! Center, Louisville KY. Tickets required.

  • Silent Book Club: 6-8pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Having a “silent” book club allows everyone flexibility to come and go as they please each week while getting to see both new and familiar faces. This means everyone gets to bring their current read and read at their own pace. We will be pouring some fun wines and sharing some yummy snacks! Feel free to bring whatever you need to be comfortable!

  • Singin’ In the Rain: 6pm, Derby Dinner Playhouse. Hollywood of the 1920’s is the setting for this light-hearted and romantic MGM classic filled with show-stopping dance numbers and memorable music. Grab your umbrella, it will rain on stage! Tickets Required.

  • Feud Thursdays: 7pm, Dog Haus Biergarten New Albany. Join us every Thursday at 7:00pm for Last Call Feud Night! First Place gets a $30 Dog Haus Gift Card, Second Place gets a $20 Dog Haus Gift Card, and Third Place takes home a $10 Dog Haus Gift Card.

  • Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch

    • Friends of the Library Book Sale: 10am-1pm.

    • Sculpting for Kids Ages 3-5: 11am-12pm. Children from third through fifth grade are invited to join artist Donna Shaw for Art Class@Your Library from 11 a.m.- 12 noon in the Youth Services Activity Room of Jeffersonville Township Public Library Jeffersonville location. Registration is required.

  • Easter Egg Hunt: 9-11am. Silver Street Park, New Albany. Hop on down to Silver Street Park and join us for an egg-citing Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12. Bring your basket and see how many eggs you can collect, then cash them in for a goody bag full of treats! Hip hop along to the beats, and be sure to snap a photo with the Easter Bunny!   • Major League Baseball Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic: 10am-1pm. Charlestown Little League. Former Major League Baseball players venture to Charlestown on Saturday, April 12 for the Major League Baseball Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic. Presented by the MLB Players Alumni Association and the City of Charlestown, the former players will teach baseball fundamentals and life skills to young people ages 6 - 16 of all skill levels. Pre-registration is required.

  • Wildflower Weekend: 11am-3pm, Clifty Falls State Park Madison, IN. Activities range from crafts, walks, hikes and more. $7/vehicle for Indiana residents, $9/vehicle for non-Indiana residents.

  • Full Moon Over Mansion Row Tour: 8:30-11pm. S.E. corner of Main and E. 10th St. New Albany. The Mansion Row Tour focuses on the area of Main St. from the Culbertson Mansion to roughly 5th Street...historically known as Mansion Row. So join us as we walk under the spell of a full moon and visit Victorian Era mansions, dwellings, and other buildings, and hear about their histories...real & supernatural!. Tickets required.

Sunday, Apr 13

  • Southern Indiana Roller Derby Training Camp: 10am-1pm, 341 S Capitol Ave, Corydon, IN 47112. Have you ever wanted to learn how to skate and play roller derby? Now is your chance! Southern Indiana Roller Derby's 2025 Training Camp kicks off Sunday, February 23 and runs every Sunday through April 27 at the Harrison County Fairgrounds from 10 AM to 1 PM.

  • Wildflower Weekend: 10am-3pm, Clifty Falls State Park Madison, IN. Activities range from crafts, walks, hikes and more. $7/vehicle for Indiana residents, $9/vehicle for non-Indiana residents.

  • Huber’s Dry Red Wine Tasting Event: 1-2pm, Huber’s Winery. Join our wine-making team for an in-depth experience in the world of Huber Dry Red wines. From single varietals to superb blends, you will learn firsthand what makes each one unique, how they work together, and what makes the Indiana Uplands growing area (where we grow all our grapes) so special. Each ticket is only $50 (plus tax and processing fees), and includes the approximately one hour experience, tableside wine tastings, small bite pairings, and a souvenir wine glass.

  • Clay Tiles - Art at the Falls: 3-4pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park: Participants will design clay tiles with guidance from artist Mike Gibson. $2 program free covered by a grant from the Falls of the Ohio Foundation.  Meets in the picnic area unless inclement weather, then in rotunda.

  • LOVB Finals: 4pm. KFC Yum! Center, Louisville KY. Tickets required.

  • World Ballet Company - The Great Gatsby: 6pm, The Louisville Palace. Tickets required.
