Monday, Apr 21
Toddler Time: 10-11am. Join us for stories, rhymes, songs, and other activities. This story time is designed for Toddlers, but all are welcome!
Sensory Friendly Story time: 4-4:45pm. Sensory Friendly Storytime is a special storytime for children who may have felt left out or nervous to go to other storytimes.
Beginner Mat Yoga with the YMCA: 6:30-7:30pm. New to yoga? Join us for a free beginner yoga class at The Floyd County Library! Learn about yoga basics, terminology, and postures. Practice yoga at your own level in a safe and supportive environment with guidance from a registered yoga teacher from the YMCA (200RYT). Modifications will be offered as you practice each pose. Yoga mats will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own, or any optional props, straps, and sweater in case you get cold. Registration is required.
Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch
Paint Chip Poetry for Teens: 4:30-5:30pm. Clarksville Branch. Celebrate National Poetry Month with Ms. Monica as we create our own paint chip poetry!! Release your inner creativity by creating poems that incorporate all the goofy paint color names! You are welcome to share your poetry with the group, or keep it to yourself, no pressure.

Babies and Books: 10am-10:30am. Join us on Tuesday mornings as we sing, read board books, and have fun learning early literacy! Registration not required.
It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all. Registration not required.
Jamey Aebersold Jazz Quartet: 5-6:30pm. April is Jazz Appreciation Month, and we’re celebrating at the Cultural Arts Center with a free concert from the Jamey Aebersold Jazz Quartet! Featuring Jamey Aebersold on sax, Wade Honey on piano, Tyrone Wheeler on bass, and Jonathan Higgins on drums. Enjoy jazz classics like "Summertime," "Misty, "The Girl from Ipanema," "It Had to Be You," "Now’s the Time," "Groovin’ High" and "Unforgettable." All ages are welcome, and registration is recommended. Whether you’re a longtime “jazzer” or just starting to explore jazz, this concert is for everyone! Registration is required.
Read Between the Spines Book Club: 5:30-6:45pm. Do you like talking about books? Join us at the Galena Branch for our new book club for adults! This month's selection is The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon. Copies of the book are available to check out at Galena Digital Library for registered participants. Registration is required.
Pajama Time Stories: 6pm-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. Registration not required.
Mother Goose Time: 10:30-11:15am. A fast-paced and interactive program for children ages 0-2 and their caregivers. Adult participation and interaction ensure the success of this program. Siblings may bring a doll or stuffed animal to bounce. Arrive early to get a spot.
Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation: 1:30-2:30pm. Join us on this date at our Jeffersonville location when 2 mentors from the Earth & Spirit Center will lead us in an Introductory Class on Mindfulness, which includes a Guided Meditation. Registration required.
Anime Club: 4-5pm. This club is all about Anime. Join us for games, projects, movies and more. Long-time members and new fans are welcome. Meet in the Teen Area.
Earth Day Cleanup: 3-5pm, Falls of the Ohio State Park. We’re excited to invite you to our Community Clean-Up to celebrate Earth Day and give back to the environment! This is a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors, connect with your community, and make a positive impact by helping clean up one of our region’s most beautiful natural spaces!
½ Priced Bottle Tuesdays: 3-10pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Every Tuesday ½ priced bottles of wine in house. Bring a friend (or two!) and come enjoy the Wine Shop.
Pizza & Chill at Wine Shop: 5-9pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Unwind with us every Tuesday from 5:00pm-9:00pm for our Pizza & Chill Special! Enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious flatbread pizza for just $20 . Plus, take advantage of our 1/2 off bottles of wine in-house to keep the good vibes flowing.

Wednesday, Apr 23
Wiggle Wednesday Storytime: 10-10:45am. Join us at Galena on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. to wiggle our wiggles out, read stories and sing songs! Registration not required.
Kid's Club - Jar Lantern Craft: 4:30-5:30pm. Come hang out each Wednesday 4:30pm to 5:30pm and enjoy a different activity each week. Activities will range from play doh to crafts to LEGOs! For Kids ages 6-11 years old. No registration required.
Beginning Genealogy Workshop @ Galena: 5-6:45pm. Learn about a number of topics including where to start, how to create a research plan, types of records and resources, and who to ask for help. A portion of the workshop will include a tutorial on how to use the Indiana Room website resources for your personal research and what resources are available at the Indiana Room to support your family research. Registration is required.
Sew…What’s Going On?: 5:30-7:30pm. Are you ready to learn beginning quilt techniques? Join this monthly class for kids! (Ages 9-18). In this class you will learn beginner quilting techniques. You will learn hand sewing, how to cut a pattern, how to use a sewing machine, and much more. In the process, you will be making a different quilt square each month. Each quilt square can be a stand alone, used as a hot pad or a square in a larger project. The class will be offered monthly, with a different quilt square taught at each meeting. Participants may choose to attend one class, many classes or all twelve. Those choosing to make all 12 quilt squares will have a complete "calendar quilt" at the end of the year. Class registration is required each month. (Please register only your child aged 9-18 so we can purchase the correct amount of materials. The accompanying adult should NOT be registered.) All registrants aged 9-12 must attend with a responsible adult.

Preschool Prep: 10:30-11:15am. Stories, songs, rhymes, movement activities and crafts which encourage early literacy and kindergarten readiness skills. Ages 2-5 with a caregiver. Siblings are welcome. Space and materials are limited, so arrive early to get a spot.
Recbar 812 Bingo: 7pm, RecBar 812 (New Albany). Free to play. Free to win! Come join us every Wednesday for Bar Bingo. Prizes for every round. One final coverall round every week for a rolling $50 jackpot. If no one wins, the $50 moves on to the next week! $2 off all adult slushies! This is a 21+ event to participate.

Music and Movement: 10-10:45am. Join us at Galena on Thursdays to help your child learn some basic rhythms that will help with early literacy before they begin Kindergarten. Ms. Ashley will use bells, rhythm sticks, scarves and more for these exercises! Registration not required.
Teen Coding Club: 4:30-5:30pm. Join us for an introduction to coding and computational thinking. Learn the fundamentals of computer science with free Hour of Code activities, featuring drag-and-drop coding blocks. This session will use the Minecraft Adventurer activity through Code.org. There are limited spaces available, and registration is required. For ages 11-18. Registration required.
Laser Engraving 101: 5-6:30pm. Did you know that you can use our laser engraver to personalize gifts, create branded items, and design unique products? Join us for our Laser Engraving 101 class. Learn how to use the Epilog Laser and take home a mini project! Registration required.
Teen Scene: 6-7:30pm. Hang out with us every Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Teen Scene! Take a break in the middle of the week with a new activity, game, craft, or anything else we dream up, plus snacks! All teens are welcome (11-18 years old). Registration not required.

Toddler Time @ Chick-fil-A Veteran’s Parkway: 10am, Chick-fil-A, 1320 Veteran’s Parkway. Join us for Toddler Time — a relaxed, age-appropriate version of Kids Night designed especially for our younger guests! We’ll enjoy a sweet story, a fun group activity, and a simple craft together. Silent Book Club: 6-8pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Having a “silent” book club allows everyone flexibility to come and go as they please each week while getting to see both new and familiar faces. This means everyone gets to bring their current read and read at their own pace. We will be pouring some fun wines and sharing some yummy snacks! Digging Devonian Fossils: 1-2pm, Falls of the Ohio State Park. Where are Devonian fossils found? Why are they harder to find than fossils from other periods around here? The naturalist and park paleontologist, Alan Goldstein, will show different types of fossils and where to look for them. A Devonian fossil (not from the Falls) will be given to each participant. $2 program fee covered by a grant from the Falls of the Ohio Foundation. Meets in the rotunda.

Dawn at the Downs: 6:45-10am, Churchill Downs. Dawn at the Downs is a cherished tradition for both Louisvillians and visitors alike. Racing fans gather to watch Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks contenders during their morning workouts, all while selecting their favorites for the weekend's races. Tickets required.
Southern Indiana Roller Derby Training Camp: 10am-1pm, 341 S Capitol Ave, Corydon, IN 47112. Have you ever wanted to learn how to skate and play roller derby? Now is your chance! Southern Indiana Roller Derby's 2025 Training Camp kicks off Sunday, February 23 and runs every Sunday through April 27 at the Harrison County Fairgrounds from 10 AM to 1 PM.
Sunday Funday Cruise: 1-3pm, Belle of Louisville Riverboats. Turn your Sunday into #SundayFunDay aboard the historic Belle of Louisville! Cruise away the afternoon as you take in the sights and sounds of the Ohio River. Spring Bird Hike: 3-4pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. Join naturalist Nick Feltner and explore the Falls of the Ohio in search of resident and migratory birds. Bring binoculars if possible. This free program meets on the deck by the interpretive center.
