Monday, Feb 10

  • Floyd County Library Events

    • Toddler Time: 10am-11am, New Albany Main Library. Join us for stories, rhymes, songs, and other activities. This storytime is designed for Toddlers, but all are welcome! Registration not required.

    • Camp Half-blood: Aphrodite Cabin Card Making: 4pm-5pm, Galena Branch. Come join us at Galena for card making! In association with the Floyd Central's theater troupe and their spring production of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, Galena will be participating in an Aphrodite themed card making. All materials provided. Registration is required.

    • Tails and Tales: Read to Pickles the Therapy Dog!: 4pm-5pm, Galena Branch. Come read to the therapy dog, Pickles! She is a 4 year old lab who loves to have stories read to her! Anyone can come read to her! Each person who signs up will have a 10 minute time slot to read one on one for up to 6 readers each visit. Registration is required.

    • Sensory Friendly Storytime: 4pm-4:45pm, New Albany Main Library. Sensory Friendly Storytime is a special storytime for children who may have felt left out or nervous to go to other storytimes. Registration not required.

    • Community Conversations: Home Safety & Firearms: 6pm-7pm, New Albany Main Library. In the aftermath of recent firearm violence, which has inflicted trauma and loss in our community it was decided to take action by hosting community conversations to share information and education relating to firearm safety and mental health. Through collaboration, education, and support this program aims to create a future where everyone can gather without fear and live without the threat of violence. Join local community partners, including Lifespring Health Systems, CASA Floyd County, Clark Floyd Systems of Care and the Floyd County Library (and others) as they host monthly Community Conversations to have a meaningful conversation regarding firearm safety and mental health. Virtual Zoom option is available. 

  • Jeffersonville Public Library Events

    • Love Around the World (Teen Program): 4:30pm-5:30pm, Clarksville Library. Join Ms. Monica as we take a trip around the world and find out how other cultures celebrate love and Valentine's Day! There will be sweet treats in addition to the learning!

  • Form Not Function, Quilt Art Biennial: 5pm-7pm, The Cultural Arts Center (201 E. Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150). The Cultural Arts Center is pleased to present the returning Form, Not Function: Quilt Art Biennial exhibition, featuring 20 quilts selected by guest jurors Michelle Amos, Terry Jarrard-Dimond, and Kevin Womack. This exhibition will be on display from January 16th, 2025 through April 12th, 2025. Admission is free for all ages. 

Tuesday, Feb 11

  • Floyd County Library Events

    • Babies and Books: 10am-10:30am, New Albany Main Library. Join us on Tuesday mornings as we sing, read board books, and have fun learning early literacy! Registration not required. Registration not required.

    • It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm, New Albany Main Library. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all. Registration not required.

    • Pajama Time Stories:6pm-6:45pm, New Albany Main Library. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. Registration not required.

  • Jeffersonville Public Library Events

    • Mother Goose Time: 10:30am-11am, Jeffersonville Library. A fast-paced and interactive program for children ages 0-2 and their caregivers. Adult participation and interaction ensure the success of this program. Siblings may bring a doll or stuffed animal to bounce. Arrive early to get a spot.

    • Let’s Talk Books!: 1pm-2pm, Jeffersonville Library. What makes this book club different from other ones is we don't read the same book nor do we discuss in depth what we each have been reading since our last get together the previous month.  What we are is a very relaxed group of readers and this is a very informal hour devoted to books!

    • Anime Club: 4pm-5pm, Jeffersonville Library. This club is all about Anime. Join us for games, projects, movies and more. Long-time members and new fans are welcome. Meet in the Teen Area. Registration is required.

  • Harrison County Library Events

    • Move & Groove Storytime: 10:30am, Corydon Branch.Join Ms. Eden for stories, music, and a craft. PK and up.

  • ½ Priced Bottle Tuesdays: 3pm-10pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Every Tuesday ½ priced bottles of wine in house. Bring a friend (or two!) and come enjoy the Wine Shop. 

  • Kids Eat Free Tuesday: 4pm-10pm, RecBar 812 (New Albany). Every Tuesday, for every adult meal purchased, one child under the age of 12 can order a meal from the kid’s menu for free.

  • Love, Lies & The Lottery: 6pm, Derby Dinner Playhouse. Ever wonder what happens when a multi-million dollar lottery prize goes unclaimed? Poor Peter never did until he discovered he had the winning ticket and only a week to claim the prize! Will he make it in time? CONTAINS ADULT THEMES - RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 15 & UP. Tickets Required.

  • Dine to Donate: 11am-7pm, The Slice (Georgetown). Help us raise some dough! 10% of your bill will be donated to the Georgetown Park Improvement Project.

  • Kid’s Pizza Class: 5pm, 812 Pizza (Georgetown). Let the kiddos learn to make their own pizza with us! They will stretch the dough of their individual pizza into the shape of a heart, add sauce and toppings of their choice, help to bake the pizza, and then enjoy it for dinner! And for dessert... a scoop of our ice cream. Kids 5-12. An adult will need to stay at the restaurant for each child but is welcome to grab a table of their own while the kids build their pizzas. A drink will be provided to kids. *This is not a gluten-free pizza* $10 per child participating. Please specify child's name and age on Special Instructions field. Tickets required.

    • Wiggle Wednesday Storytime 10am-10:45am, Galena Branch. Join us at Galena on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. to wiggle our wiggles out, read stories and sing songs! Registration not required.

    • Kids Club: 4:30pm-5:30pm, New Albany Main LIbrary. Activities will range from play doh to crafts to LEGOs! For Kids ages 6-11 years old. Registration not required.

    • 4-H eSports: 4:30pm-5:30pm, New Albany Main LIbrary. Level up your gaming and learning with the Floyd County 4-H eSports Program! Hosted at the Floyd County Public Library Auditorium, this program combines education and fun. Did you know that 71% of teens play video games, and esports helps turn that passion into skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking? Join us to game, grow, and connect! This is for grades 7th-12th. Registration is required.

    • Make Your Own Hobby Journal: 5pm-6:30pm, Galena Branch. Come to Galena and create a hobby journal! This program will help you make the tools necessary to keep track of your hobbies, whether it's gardening, sketching, sewing, or something else. All materials will be provided, just bring your creativity! Registration is required.

    • Preschool Prep: 10:30am-11am, Jeffersonville Library. Stories, songs, rhymes, movement activities and crafts which encourage early literacy and kindergarten readiness skills. Ages 2-5 with a caregiver. Siblings are welcome. Space and materials are limited, so arrive early to get a spot. 

  • Harrison County Library Events

      • Library Little Ones: 10:30am, Corydon Branch. Join Ms. Savannah or Ms. Ann for stories and movement. Designed for ages 0-3 and families.

  • Recbar 812 Bingo: 7pm, RecBar 812 (New Albany). Free to play. Free to win! Come join us every Wednesday for Bar Bingo. Prizes for every round. One final coverall round every week for a rolling $50 jackpot. If no one wins, the $50 moves on to the next week! $2 off all adult slushies! This is a 21+ event to participate.

Thursday, Feb 13

  • Floyd County Library Events

    • Coffee and Conversations: 10am-11am, New Albany Main Library. Join us in the Cafe on the Upper Level of the New Albany Central Branch for a free cup of coffee and interesting conversations with community members from all walks of life. No registration required. 

    • Music and Movement: 10am-10:45am, Galena Branch. Join us at Galena on Thursdays to help your child learn some basic rhythms that will help with early literacy before they begin Kindergarten. Ms. Ashley will use bells, rhythm sticks, scarves and more for these exercises! Registration not required.

    • Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA): 1pm-4pm, New Albany Main Library. Community Action of Southern Indiana is offering a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) service at The Floyd County Library Auditorium every Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. through April 10. This free tax preparation service is available to individuals and families with an annual income of $64,000 or less. Taxes will be prepared by IRS-certified volunteers in the library’s auditorium at 180 West Spring Street, New Albany.

    • Make & Take: Kissing Booth Candy Holder: 1pm-2pm, Cultural Arts Center. Join us for a creative afternoon of crafting and socializing. This month participants will create a Kissing Booth Candy Holder, perfect for holding Hershey's Kisses and other sweet treats. All supplies will be provided for free, and no special skills are needed. Non-washable paint will be used by participants.

Take a break in the middle of the week with a new activity, game, craft, or anything else we dream up, plus snacks! All teens are welcome (11-18 years old). Registration not required.

  • Jeffersonville Public Library Events

    • Toddler Storytime: Valentine’s Day: 10am-11:15am, Clarksville Library. Love is in the air for this storytime! Library kids ages 0-4 and their caregivers are invited to join Ms. Monica for a Valentine's Day storytime. There will be books, songs, crafts, and maybe some sweet Valentine's treats! 

    • Jewelry Making Class: Design and Make a Special Necklace/Earring Set: 5:30pm-7pm, Jeffersonville Library. Join us on this date for another special Jewelry Making Craft Class with Kelly Avery-Boyd! A jewelry artist, her pieces command hundreds of dollars out in the real world and today she will share her knowledge and artistic eye with you! And everyone knows that handmade jewelry always makes a great gift, especially for Valentine's Day! The focus of this class will be on necklace/earring sets. Each jewelry making kit will run between $25-$45. Payment must be made at the beginning of class to Kelly by either card or cash, but cards are preferred. Pre-registration is requested for planning purposes.

    • Steamboat Connections to Slavery: 6pm-7pm, Clarksville Library. This presentation will connect steamboats to the issue of slavery before, during, and after the Civil War. It will include information on how steamboats were used during that era, and the changes that took place over time. Kadie will also include information on the overall subject of diversity of travelers on steamboats when riverboats ruled the waterways of this country.

    • New Resources for African American Genealogy: 6pm-7:15pm, Jeffersonville Library. Are you interested in learning more about researching your African American family’s history? Have you been told not to bother, because African American genealogy is too hard? Don’t believe it! African American family research is challenging, but new online resources make the job easier—and the many free or low-cost resources make the job more affordable. Join Diane Stepro, Genealogy and Local History Librarian, on Thursday, February 13, starting at 6 p.m., in the Family and Local History Center at the library’s Jeffersonville location.

  • Silent Book Club: 6pm-8pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Having a “silent” book club allows everyone flexibility to come and go as they please each week while getting to see both new and familiar faces. This means everyone gets to bring their current read and read at their own pace. We will be pouring some fun wines and sharing some yummy snacks! Feel free to bring whatever you need to be comfortable!

  • Line Dance Lessons: 6pm-8pm, American Legion Post 204 (Sellersburg). All ages welcome! $5 per person (or come watch for free). Beginner level dance lessons.

  • Grand Opening - Pickleball Euphoria Clarksville: 8am-8pm, 6113 Appleleaf Lane, Clarksville, IN 47172. Come see what PE Clarksville is all about! To celebrate our Grand Opening we are hosting FREE OPEN PAY Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 3:30-6pm at PE Clarksville.

    • Be Heart Smart on Valentine’s Day & Beyond: 11am, Jeffersonville Library. Emma Finerfrock, Health and Human Sciences Educator, will teach you how to monitor risk factors for heart disease and how to make simple changes to your daily routine that can improve your heart health. Become heart smart and reduce your risk for heart disease! Registration is required.

  • Harrison County Library Events

  • Thunderstruck @ OLPH Brewery: 7:30pm, Our Lady of Perpetual Hops (New Albany). America's ACDC Tribute Band will be live at Our Lady of Perpetual Hops with Vapor opening on Friday February 14th. Last time they played they packed the house with their album quality rock performance. You will not want to miss this. Book your table or buy general admission tickets here.     • Black History Month Talk - Pam Peters: 1pm-2pm, The Cultural Arts Center. Please join us on February 15, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Cultural Arts Center for the Floyd County Library's annual Black History Month event. Local author and historian Pam Peters will be in attendance to discuss African-American history in the Floyd County region. The main topic of discussion will be "Memory and the Underground Railroad in Floyd County: Looking Back, Moving Forward." Refreshments will be provided. Registration is required.

    • Movie Matinee - SpiderMan Into the Spiderverse: 2pm-3:30pm, New Albany Main Library.Celebrate Black History Month with one of the most popular Black Superheroes, Miles Morales! We will be showing Spider-man Into the Spiderverse, making crafts, and eating snacks. Wear your favorite superhero costume or t-shirt! This program is for families. Registration encouraged, but not required. Registration is required.

  • Jeffersonville Public Library Events

    • Abraham Lincoln (in the flesh) @ Your Library: 10:30am-11:30am, Jeffersonville Library. Join us on this date when our special guest will be Abraham Lincoln AKA Danny Russel! Danny Russel (www.famoushoosiers.com) travels the state portraying Abraham Lincoln and we're so pleased he can be with us on this date. A Library Foundation-Sponsored Event, you will be entertained by an hour's worth of riveting and compelling materials - from Log Cabin to the White House - plus time for Q&A. In particular, you will learn about Abraham Lincoln's youth in Indiana from ages 7-21. This was a time when frontier life was unsteady, disease a constant companion, and death a hovering presence. Registration is required.  

    • Fresh Art - A Guide to Public Art in Southern Indiana: 1pm-2pm, Jeffersonville Library. In his presentation, Dr. Boone first will educate and define for us what public art is and second he will cover public art in relation to Jeffersonville, Clarksville, and New Albany.  Each and every area is resplendent in both public art and photography.

    • Family Tinker Time: 2pm-3pm, Jeffersonville Library. Come tinker with us! Play with various building toys, such as Legos, magnetic tiles, jumbo blocks, and more. Duplos will be available for young children. Caregivers must attend, and are encouraged to play, as well.

    • Throwback Feature Film: 2pm-4:30pm, Clarksville Library. In honor of Black History Month, join us for a screening of the 1978 musical The Wiz. Diana Ross stars as Dorothy Gale in this all-Black ensemble reimagining of The Wizard of Oz also starring Michael Jackson, Lena Horne, and Richard Pryor. Directed by 5-time Academy Award nominee Sidney Lumet. Be there on time to learn a little background info about the film as well as the history of Motown Productions and stick around afterwards for a mini movie discussion. Complimentary popcorn and drinks will be provided!

    • African American Literature Club: 2:30pm-3:30pm, Jeffersonville Library. This book club is for adults who enjoy reading and discussing works by or about African-American authors. This month's book is The First Ladies by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray. A novel about the extraordinary partnership between First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and civil rights activist Mary McLeod Bethune—an unlikely friendship that changed the world, from the New York Times bestselling authors of the Good Morning America Book Club pick The Personal Librarian.

  • GALentine’s Day at OLPH Brewery Presented by Nomadic Jean: 11am-5pm, Our Lady of Perpetual Hops (New Albany). Grab your friends, mom, sisters and join us for a girly day out at OLPH Brewery! There will be tons of amazing small businesses to shop with, beer and cupcake pairings, King Fish on the Rocks food truck, and the crowd favorite mimosa flights! This is a FREE all ages event. Pets are also welcome.

  • Winter Bird Hike: 1pm-2pm, 201 W. Riverside Drive Clarksville, IN 47129. Hike around the park and observe the winter birds. Bring binoculars. Nick Feltner will be leading this free activity. Meet in the rotunda.

  • Fool House - The Ultimate 90’s Party - VMAs Tour: 8pm, Mercury Ballroom (Louisville). Tickets Required.

  • Parker McCollum: What Kinda Man Tour 2025: 7:30pm, KFC Yum! Center (Louisville). Tickets required.

Sunday, Feb 16

  • Chocolate Lover’s Weekend: 11am-5:30pm, Huber’s Orchard & Winery. Visit the Tasting Loft to sample wines or spirits paired with Schimpff’s chocolates. Chocolates are complimentary with all paid wine or spirits tastings.

  • Music by Jason Beliles: 1pm-5pm, Huber’s Orchard & Winery. Visit us today for live music at the Winery by Jason Beliles!

  • Pollinator Fun: Family Nature Club: 3pm-4pm, Falls of the Ohio State Park. It’s hard to think about pollinators in winter but it’s good to think of the warm weather and flowers coming spring. Park volunteer, Wayne Kimbel, will provide an activity from our pollinator trunk. This program will be held in the rotunda. Your $2 program fee is covered by a grant from the Falls of the Ohio Foundation.
